حصل سمو الأمير الوليد بن طلال على رخصة بناء برج المملكة التابع لشركة المملكة القابضة التي يملكها، وذلك لبناء أطول برج في العالم في مدينة جدة، بميزانية وصلت إلى 4.6 مليارات ريال أي أكثر من مليار دولار.. ارتفاع المبنى يزيد على 1000 متر وقد دخلت مجموعة بن لادن السعودية بشراكة نسبتها 16.63% وهي ستتولى تنفيذ البرج.
